Columbia City has some reputed schools and one of them is Indian Springs Middle School (ISMS) which was opened in the end of 1996. The school was the merging of five Whitley County schools. The main objective of combining the five small schools is it helps in teaming. It is the only Middle School in the city and consists of 6, 7, and 8 grades. Each grade or level consists of two sections, eagle and stars.
Schools are responsible for the overall development of the kids. Faith Christian Academy is the one such school in Whitley County. This co-ed school provides quality education for children, ever since 1991. Their main aim is to provide dedicated teachers for the curriculum. Limited students in classes and individualized attention for each child is what the school believes to give a better learning experience for the students.
Students are the future citizens of any city/country. Columbia City has many good schools for its young population. Columbia City High School which provides excellent quality of education is one such school. Established in the year 1889, this is the oldest community schools of the city.
